Shift: 3:00 PM-11:30 PMHourly Rate: $31.95 an hour + $.45 shift differentialConagra Brands is looking for Maintenance Mechanic Technicians to staff its Armour plant in Ft. Madison, Iowa! The Vienna Sausage capital of the world is looking for candidates that have a strong work ethic, possess strong technical and mechanical aptitude, capable of making equipment adjustments based on sound decisions and have the desire to work in a team-based environment.Main ResponsibilitiesPerform job with utmost Caution and Safety.  Ensure no Safety incidents to Self or OthersRepair and maintain all assigned machineryTroubleshoot machinery, analyze, and implement corrective proceduresUse all associated tools, machines, and diagnostic equipmentCreate and close out own work orders and maintain inventory in SAP systemRegular, reliable attendance is necessaryOverhaul production lines or building structure as needed.Ensure efficient operation of all production lines including mechanical services.Perform all work conforming to Conagra Foods, federal, state, and local standards and codes.Ability to carry out the following functions:  parts manufacture troubles shooting, and proper operation of shop equipment.Follow all Safety, and Good Manufacturing Policies.Exhibit flexibility when required for special projects or any areas of the facility when needed.Provides operator training in the areas of safety, set-up, and changeover.Assists in construction type work involving the removal or installation of equipment.Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMust be able to effectively use the English language, in verbal or written formMust be able to effectively communicate and interpret work instructions and safety rulesAbility to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.Able to lift 40 pounds consistentlyThis position is responsible for timely, effective, and accurate communication between shift team members as well as team members from other shift crews.Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfacesWilling and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekendsWilling and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipmentWilling and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environmentAbility to learn and accurately interact in SAPPositive team playerExcellent analytical and decision-making abilityStrongly preferred working knowledge and/or experience in: Hydraulics & Pneumatics Mechanical assemblies (gearboxes, drives etc) Layout and fabrication – includes heli-arc, stick, and gas welding ability Preventive maintenance and repair Basic electrical knowledge (3 phase, breakers, schematic reading, etc.)An...
