Kingsford is the leading manufacturer of charcoal in the United States and our charcoal has become synonymous with authentic grilling, good food and most importantly, good times.This position is responsible for maintaining production, safety and quality by ensuring operation of plant, machinery and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance activities, back fills openings whether vacation, disability, or other losses to reduce or eliminate overtime.Starting Hourly Rate: The starting hourly rate is $32.35In this role, you will:Participates in Weekly Maintenance Meeting to develop, plan, schedule and kits parts for maintenance activities for following week, scheduled down days and outages, incorporates Control room Ops in meetings to drive understanding of maintenance cycles, develops skills and abilities.Learns the parts room system and is involved in keeping critical parts stocked, counted, and organized.Acts as a crew leader during outages to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, effectively, properly to “Base Condition” and in a efficient mannerOwns a WCO pillar Board, plans and schedules activities, such as PM step completion, AM events, RIP reviews, etc.. and keeps the Board active and up to date with action plansMaintains the ability to operate the Process from the control room, including daily rotation to the loader to stockpile raw material, feed raw material via front end loader to the plant to ensure process stability while moving loaded char trailers.Performs and addresses Plant Etracs, Stracs Tasks. The “On Call” Technician assigned in the vacation coverage book covers ETRACS responsibilities to support Plant Environmental and Housekeeping priorities.Performs and addresses plant and equipment cleaning which includes hosing the plant down, sweeping and shoveling as well as grounds keeping at least weekly, or daily as needed. Must spend minimum 1 hour per day in the plant observing, listening and diagnosing issues. Actively supports Equipment ownership, owns equipment, and relieves equipment owners in operations roles to allow time to address their equipment ownership requirements. Relief will include time operating to allow WCO activities such as AM, WPO, BDE, CIL, RIP reviews as well as Kaizen events.Actively works to eliminate Top 3 downtime events on plant RIP.Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, (PM’s) on conveyor systems, and production machines; following operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, O.E.M. spec...
