Position SummaryThe Human Resources Manager provides both strategic and operational HR leadership to support business objectives, company growth, and a best-in-class employee experience.This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, and HR initiatives across North America. The HR Manager will lead a team of HR professionals while ensuring compliance, engagement, and performance excellence across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with leadership to drive workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategyLead the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with business goalsLead change management efforts related to growth, restructuring, and operational shiftsProvide strategic oversight of compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company objectivesLead, coach, and develop the HR team with clear performance expectations and accountabilityEnsure compliance with U.S. and Canadian labor laws and employment regulationsServe as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations and organizational mattersOversee talent management programs including performance management, succession planning, and employee developmentChampion the development and implementation of HR policies and proceduresPartner with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective hiring strategies and workforce planningLead union relations, including negotiations, agreements, and grievance resolutionOversee global mobility and immigration programs for the divisionDrive continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and audit practicesCollaborate with corporate headquarters and regional partners to align HR strategiesStandardize HR practices across U.S. manufacturing locations where applicableQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field requiredHR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferredExperience15+ years of progressive HR leadership experienceProven experience leading HR teams and driving strategic initiativesStrong background across core HR functions including compensation, recruiting, payroll, labor relations, and employment lawExperience working in unionized environments preferredKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development skillsExcellent communication and influencing abilitiesStrategic thinking with a hands-on approachProblem-solving and analytical mindsetHigh level of discretion and professionalismStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to build relationships across all levels of the organizationWhy Join Us?At Marathon Electric, part of the global WEG Group, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping the employee experience and driving business success across North America.
