Medical Laboratory Technician Program Director/Full-time Faculty

This role includes curriculum development, faculty supervision, program accreditation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The Program Director collaborates with faculty, staff, and industry partners to provide high-quality education and training for students pursuing careers as medical laboratory technicians. This position will oversee the recruitment and retention of students, guide clinical placement partnerships, and maintain program effectiveness through ongoing evaluation and improvement.Essential Duties:Developing, administrating, managing, and evaluating the MLT program curriculumIdentifying textbooks and other course materialsOverseeing the MLT budget and recommending changes as appropriate to include student fees and expendituresDeveloping and implementing program changes and courses in response to the needs of the community in conjunction with an advisory boardProviding leadership and vision for the creation and implementation of the MLT programWorking to develop the program into a nationally accredited programCommunicating with industry partners on a regular basisDeveloping and maintaining agreements for student clinical rotationsTeaching courses as full-time faculty within the confines of NWACC teaching policies, receiving release hours for performance of administrative program director dutiesParticipating in college faculty and committee activitiesDeveloping, implementing, monitoring and revising MLT program policies and procedures in collaboration with the Dean of Health Professions and Associate Vice President for WorkforceDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining the application process for students wishing to enter the MLT programWorking with advisors, faculty. and administration on updates to the MLT programAdvising students on an as needed basisWorking with Marketing for development of promotional materials and activities to promote the MLT programUsing interpersonal skills and making sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between coworkers, the supervisory chain, faculty, staff, students, and industry partnersSupporting the mission, values, and institutional goals as defined by the collegeOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Masters degree and ASCP...
