HMS MEDscience engages over 4,000 high school students (including nearly 1,200 Boston Public School students) through school-year and summer programs.  HMS MEDscience has an opening for an experienced team teacher for its high school biology-based enrichment program serving a diverse population of students. This lead teacher will teach up to 3-4 classes per day in a co-teaching team. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for partner teachers at a wide range of school partners, with responsibility for curriculum alignment, program scheduling and logistics, and oversight of all educators involved in program delivery (including co-teachers, part-time staff, and volunteers). Teacher/Program Coordinators typically manage 1-2 outside of projects/programs in addition to their direct classroom/partnership management responsibilities. These projects could include management of a particular curriculum area or an operational function (such as scheduling/staffing, inventory management/procurement for program supplies and equipment, or management/analysis of program data). These projects will be overseen by a member of MEDscience’s leadership team, but this role will operate with a high degree of independence in planning and implementing projects and making strategic recommendations to leadership. Teacher/Program Coordinators also play an important role in training new teachers.
