What You’ll Do We’re looking for a Mid/Senior 3D Animator to help bring the biggest WWE Superstars to life in WWE Champions. In this role, you’ll create high-quality, expressive character animations that capture the unique personality, style, and signature moves of WWE Superstars while delivering responsive and engaging gameplay experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with character artists, tech art, design, engineering, and production to develop polished, game-ready animations that seamlessly integrate into the game. This is a hands-on role for an animator with a deep understanding of character performance, gameplay animation, and technical implementation, who can take animations from initial blocking through final polish and engine-ready delivery. Create gameplay animations (combat, locomotion, reactions, traversal) using keyframe animation and motion capture, with strong posing, body mechanics, timing, and character performance Clean up, retarget, and polish motion capture animations into responsive, production-ready gameplay sets, balancing visual quality with in-engine feel Create or modify character rigs, transfer skin weights, and prepare animation-ready assets using HumanIK or similar rigging systems Work with Gameplay Designers and Engineers on move sets, hit reactions, and animation-driven gameplay systems (blend trees, state machines, root motion) Work closely with cross-functional teams, adapt quickly to feedback, and deliver high-quality animations within the constraints of a live-service, licensed IP production Prepare, export, and validate animation assets (FBX) for Unity, and help fix rigging, skinning, and pipeline issues as they come up What We’re Looking For 5+ years of professional experience as an animator in games, with a focus on gameplay/combat animation Shipped at least one title with significant gameplay animation work (fighting, action, or sports genres a strong plus) Strong understanding of rigging and skinning, ideally in Autodesk Maya Strong understanding of mocap data, including cleanup and retargeting for gameplay.
