Lead nursing in one of San Francisco's most personalized medical practices. Private Medical is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our San Francisco nursing team at our Laurel Heights practice. This is an opportunity for a nurse leader who wants to step away from the pace and complexity of traditional hospital medicine and into a more thoughtful model of care...one built around long-term patient relationships, clinical excellence, collaboration, and time to do things well. At Private Medical, our physicians care for a deliberately limited number of members, allowing our teams to know patients deeply and provide highly personalized, relationship-centered care. Our San Francisco practice is an established, sophisticated medical environment where nurses work closely with physicians and other clinicians to deliver an exceptional experience at every point of care. We are looking for a leader who is equally passionate about people and clinical excellence—someone who can develop a strong nursing team, maintain rigorous clinical standards, and help create an environment where excellent nurses want to build their careers. Why This Role is Different: If you are an experienced nurse leader who is tired of managing in environments where everything is about volume, staffing shortages, and putting out fires, this may be a very different kind of leadership opportunity. Here, you will have the opportunity to: Lead and develop a talented team of RNs, MAs, and CPTs Build strong, lasting relationships with patients, physicians, and colleagues Partner closely with physicians and site leadership on clinical care and practice improvement Establish and maintain a culture of patient safety and clinical excellence Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and professional development Improve clinical workflows and introduce thoughtful, evidence-based practices Help shape how nursing operates within a growing, physician-led organization Work in an environment where quality of care matters more than volume Become part of a team that values professionalism, curiosity, collaboration, and exceptional service What You'll Lead: Clinical Leadership and Patient Safety: Provide strong clinical leadership and direction to nursing staff at assigned locations, championing a culture of patient safety and adherence to best practices. Procedure Safety and Compliance: Ensure consistent application of safety protocols and guidelines across all clinical procedures, monitoring compliance and implementing corrective actions as needed. Clinical Specialities: Oversee the specialties for the assigned locations, for example gynecology. This includes policies, procedures, laboratory testing, specimen handling, specialized equipment purchases, training and cleaning procedures. Collaborate with the CMO and specialists for specific departmental goals and needs. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implem...
