We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and deliver essential support for students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With a major shortage city-wide of related services providers, your skills are urgently needed to help students develop essential life skills and achieve their goals. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with varied needs using evidence-based occupational therapy approaches.

As an OT with Knowledge Road, you will have the flexibility to deliver personalized therapy interventions, working with school teams and families to promote student growth and independence.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist (OT) with Knowledge Road, you will:

- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services for students in individual and group settings, as mandated by their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).

- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

- Create and execute evidence-based treatment plans utilizing sensory integration, motor learning principles, and adaptive strategies.

- Adjust and modify classroom environments, learning materials, and assistive devices to improve student participation and independence.

- Work closely with parents, teachers, related service providers, and school administrators to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
