The MVPE will support the ideation, creation, and on-site production of Iowa Athletics content across BTN platforms, with a focus on digital and social media opportunities. You will report directly to the Chicago-based Senior Manager, Digital, and you will be based in Iowa City, IA.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESCreate and deliver year-round Iowa Athletics video content for BTN’s social, digital and broadcast channelsCollaborate with Senior Manager, Digital, and Content Coordinators to produce video content for digital and social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)Use sound editorial judgement and BTN/Iowa viewer trends to produce content/highlights to serve an Iowa audienceDrive day-to-day content collaboration with the Iowa Athletics Department (Communications, Social Media, and Video Teams) Shoot, edit, and produce long-form storytelling content for BTN’s Crossover Franchise series, including At The Net (volleyball), On The Pitch (soccer), On The Beam (gymnastics), On The Mat (wrestling), On The Court (women’s basketball), and At The Plate (baseball/softball) Shoot, edit, and deliver content from live sporting eventsPerform pre/post video production optimized for social media sharing Ensure all content aligns with brand standards – consistent in style, quality, and voiceCover real-time breaking Iowa Athletics newsOccasionally execute duties of field producer on ENG shootsManage video inventory and share assets with key internal stakeholdersWHAT YOU WILL NEED1+ years of experience producing custom digital video contentExtensive knowledge of digital video production and content management systemsExtensive knowledge of all things culturally relevant to Iowa Athletics, Big Ten Athletics, and pop cultureFamiliarity with Big Ten Network’s programming, talent, and brand initiativesDemonstrated ability to shoot video content at sporting eventsDemonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback to others as well as seek out and accept constructive feedback for your individual performanceDemonstrated ability to be proactive, take initiative, and meet strategic deadlines in a dynamic environmentEstablished ability to create and produce c...
