Position Summary
Supervises warehouse and/ or production activities and personnel. Assigns staff and monitors the flow of products through the plant. Make recommendations for process improvement.
Essential Functions
•
Ensures operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
•
Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment. Communicates the need for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
•
Collaborates with other distribution centers and business leaders to ensure coordination of all business.
•
Participates in employee safety and plant protection activities.
•
Provides leadership, ensures adherence to company practices and procedures, applies corrective action when needed.
•
Interviews, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource to them

Performs other duties as assigned.

Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
