Part-Time Adjunct Faculty, Medical Laboratory Technician

The instructor’s responsibilities include didactic, lab and clinical instruction and evaluation.Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly and to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.Essential Duties:Prepare and update course syllabi for each course taughtProvide instruction that covers the curriculum for assigned classesAssure compliance with program expectations and support program outcomesPerform student evaluation and use continuous quality improvement techniques to determine the effectiveness of instruction and student success.Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to the learning experienceResponsible for assisting the student to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care professionMaintain accurate student records.Identify students needing assistance and refer/aid as neededCreate a classroom environment that is respectful of diversity and demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalismCreate reports as requested by the Director of Medical Laboratory Technician and the Dean of Health Professions at NWACCParticipate in program development activitiesAssist in the enforcement of program regulations and report student conduct violations.Cultivate a personal interest in communities served by the program and participate when possible in community activitiesMake recommendations to the Program Director of Medical Laboratory Technician and the Dean of Health Professions for selection of supplies, equipment, equipment repairs, textbooks for courses of study, and the scheduling of classroom and laboratory facilitiesMaintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/ learning strategiesProvides a professional role model for studentsOther duties as assigned to meet student, employer and program needsRate of Pay: $875 per credit hourMinimum Qualifications:The formal education equivalent to an associate degree in a healthc...
