Part Time Mental Health Technician
Position Title: Mental Health Technician Location: Chantilly, VA | Adult Medical Detox Treatment Facility Schedule: PRN - As Needed Support (Minimum 2 shifts per month) Compensation: $18.50 - $20.00 Per Hour (Dependent on Shift Worked) In this role you will: Monitor clients constantly and work with nurses and other staff to ensure their safety. Assist with mealtime setup, light laundry, room cleaning, and grounds maintenance as needed. Conduct admission and discharge processes for new and existing clients, including paperwork, drug and alcohol tests, skin checks, and inventory searches. Perform regular safety checks on clients every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on their risk level. Qualifications: Candidates must have 2 years of college education OR a high school diploma with 1 year of experience in the human services field Candidates must be First Aid / CPR Certified prior to first day of employment Previous experience with treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders - strongly preferred Training in verbal de-escalation and/or mental health - strongly preferred A valid driver’s license with no restrictions - Must be willing to transport clients in a 15-passenger van.
