This role is all about helping our payroll function evolve, scale and shine.This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to support global standardization initiatives and implementations, engage with key stakeholders and act as advisory for our payroll function. You will also be responsible for operational payroll activities in selected locations from the region.What You’ll Be DoingSupport process improvement and standardization initiatives across North and South America payrolls, in alignment with the FLS Global practicesOwn a payroll process in collaboration with our external payroll vendors, by sharing payroll input data, validating calculations and ensuring timely payments to employees and statutory agenciesAlign with stakeholders across HR, Finance and Business owners to drive mutual initiatives, solve and unblock challengesMaintain and promote a high focus on employee experienceProactively support our KPI and SLA targetsAssist in payroll vendor service assessment and integrationsEnsure compliance with FLS global policies and proceduresSupport in external or internal audit initiativesWhat We’re Looking ForSolid experience in payroll operations of 5+ years, with exposure to any of the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Canada, USExperience in working with global payroll vendors such as ADP, CloudPay or othersWorkday experience is a plusFluency in English, working-level proficiency in Spanish Focus on efficiency, structure, and clarity An excellent grasp of payroll systems, tools, and automation opportunities, including handling implementations or integrationsExcellent communication and coordination skills A mindset that’s equal parts pragmatic and strategic – you’re not afraid to get into the weeds but always have the bigger picture in mindWhat We offer A global network of supportive colleagues and growth opportunitiesHybrid working environment and flexible working hoursCompany benefits for healthcare and medical insurance, private pension, life insuranceMeal vouchers and holiday vouchers for Easter & ChristmasAs an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
