We offer a collaborative environment, growth opportunities, and the chance to do truly meaningful work.What you will do:The Imaging Pediatric nurse functions with demonstrated expertise in providing nursing care and/or consultation to the pediatric patients hospital-wide, who are cared for in the imaging department. The nurse is a recognized resource for consultation to nursing and physician services both within CHW and the community. The nurse is also expected to utilize the nursing process to assess patients prior to procedures or scans, prioritizing the need for and providing nursing care to patients undergoing procedures or exam within the Imaging Department. The nurse is expected to function within professional and hospital standards.Responsibilities:• Provides nursing care to patients undergoing exams or scans within the Imaging department.• Coordinates patient care and assists in providing seamless patient care before, during and after exams and procedures, including, but not limited to, those requiring procedural sedation and having the potential to be high risk.• Assesses and responds to patient’s needs including appropriateness of procedure, sedation or treatment modalities.• Makes recommendations for procedural changes, assesses and responds to patient needs before, during and after procedures or treatments.• Administers procedural sedation by assessing and administering prescribed medications, monitoring patient closely and initiating rescue medication per sedation policy guidelines.• Identifies needs a...
