Anticipated End Date:2026-09-25Position Title:Pharmacy Technician IIJob Description:Pharmacy Technician IILocation: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development.Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM ESTThe Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for the interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions and troubleshooting adjudication issues. A key function of this role includes contacting healthcare providers offices to clarify prescription details, secure missing information, and resolve discrepancies that prevent order processing. The technician works with urgency and attention to detail to ensure orders meet compliance, safety, and quality standards throughout the workflow.How you will make an impact:Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.Educates members on pharmacy-based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.The technician will work closely with pharmacists and providers offices to prevent delays in therapy and provide exceptional service experience.Provides resolution to grievances and appeals issues.Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits.This role is responsible for processing specialty prescriptions orders with accuracy, efficiency, professionalism, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and following internal standard operating procedures.Help deliver high-quality lifesaving pharmacy care for patients with complex or medical conditions.Minimum Requirements:Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 year of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.For the CPCC business area a current Pharmacy Tech license and certification is required.Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:Strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience making high volume outbound callsProfessional communication with providers office and healthcare professionalsAbility to identify missing or incomplete information on prescriptions to obtain clarificationsAttention to detail Problem- solving skills Strong documentation and co...
