Pharmacy Technician II (Onsite Specialty Outreach - Customer Service - Phone Outreach with Data Entry) - Houston, TXJob Specific Details:Onsite Specialty Outreach SupportCustomer service-focused pharmacy technician role, with phone work making up 90% of the shiftComfortable handling phone calls and data entry with a positive, professional attitudeContacting medical offices to clarify and enter prescriptionsContacting patients to provide updates on prescription outcomesSupporting the Pharmacist callback queue by helping obtain refills and prescription clarificationsAssisting with pre-QA/data entryResponding to email escalationsStaying current with required trainingComputer savvy; able to type at least 40 WPMSpecialty pharmacy with Infusion and/or Oncology, highly preferredWorking shift: 9:30 AM - 6 PM (Central/CST)Work Location: 1311 W. Houston, TX 77043Position Purpose:Work with the Pharmacists to accurately assist prescription orders in a timely mannerInteract with various departments to provide accurately fill prescriptions on a timely basisWork under direct supervision of a pharmacistMaintain and update reportsComply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirementsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducation/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience.
