ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION This is a temporary position. The length of the assignment is estimated to go from August to October, but this is always dependent on business need, and these dates may change. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with if hired for this position. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) temporary assignment. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Reporting to the Pharmacy Services Supervisor, this position: Assists the Pharmacy Department with internal and external issue resolution and communications requiring specialized pharmacy technical ability and expertise related to medication coordination Reviews and processes prior authorization requests for physician-administered drugs, which includes intake, triage, and associated correspondence, using established criteria Ensures accuracy and performs timely review of member and provider correspondence WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL To read the full position description and list of requirements, click here. Knowledge of: General pharmacy prior authorization process Computerized drug programs and standard format of National Drug Codes (NDC)_ Drugs and supplies utilized in the operation of a pharmacy General office procedures and equipment Working knowledge of and proficiency with Windows based PC systems and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Ability to: Pay close attention to detail, maintain accurate records, and utilize effective organizational skills Quickly learn and utilize internal and external software programs Read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information Education and Experience: Current, valid license in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (an Associate’s degree may substitute...
