UHN’s vision is to build A Healthier World and it’s only because of the talented and dedicated people who work here that we are continually bringing that vision closer to reality. www.uhn.ca Union: OPSEU New or Replacement: Replacement Site: Toronto Western Hospital Department: Pharmacy Reports to: Pharmacy Operations Manager Wage Range: $32.32 - $37.26 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements) Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week Shifts: Days, Evenings, Weekends Status: Temporary Full-Time (18 Month Contract) Closing Date: August 7, 2026Position Summary As an integral member of the Pharmacy Services Inpatient Operations Team, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for: DutiesIndependently performing all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing responsibilities, as per master worksheets;Replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned areas;Ensuring patient information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer system;Completing all required reports and documentation;Attending, participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational functions;Performing workload measurement support functions;Performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery (e.g., Pyxis, unit dose machine).Ability to work variable shiftsTwo years practical and related experience preferredPrevious hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred Why join UHN?
