More than 50% of our rehab team has been with the organization for 14 years or more. We have 5 outpatient full spectrum orthopedic and neuro clinics located throughout the greater Holland area. Our clinicians typically see 8-10 patients per day with direct 1:1 care. We provide hour time slots for evaluations and treatment sessions are generally 45 minutes. Our department has: - 1:1 Therapist to Patient Ratio - A focus on continuing education with a full Medbridge Membership - No productivity requirements The physical therapist assistant treats patients under the direction of the licensed therapist and according to the established treatment plan, supervises and delegates tasks to supportive personnel, maintains appropriate records, communicates patient progress to physicians and other health care workers as indicated, meets department productivity expectations, accepts responsibility for personal and professional growth and performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.Pay Range: $23.30-$34.95 per hourEmployment Type: Full Time, 80 hours every 2 weeks.Schedule: Days, 8am to 5pm, no weekends or weekends.Requirements: Associate's Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program, Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant License, BLS for the Healthcare Provider by 60 days after hire, One year applicable experience preferred.Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols. Performs reassessments as assigned and according to state and facility guidelines, adjusting treatment plan accordingly:Selects treatment methods appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age group, physical and emotional status as evidenced by observation and documentation.Recognizes the need for alterations in the treatment method and overall plan as the patient advances or regresses, and acts accordingly as evidenced by observation, documentation and team feedback.Notifies primary PT/ OT of non-routine changes in the treatment situation, discharge complications or other circumstances that require reassessment or staff guidance as evidenced by team feedback.Instructs ancillary staff in patient positioning, mobility and care giving as evidenced by documentation.Educates patient and/or family in home exercise programs, transfers, care giving, home safety and use of adaptive equipment, appropriate to level of understanding.Adheres to department policy regar...
