Regeneron is currently seeking a Principal Automation Engineer to join our Automation team.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: LimerickWhat you’ll do:Ability to program, diagnose and troubleshoot Allen Bradley Rockwell PLC and HMI application for automated process equipment.Independently managing or providing leadership to all phases of automation engineering projects and overseeing these projects from conception, design and initial specifications through to completion and turnoverDeveloping and implementing software solutions through change control as required while understanding the impact of actions to Manufacturing and Facilities equipmentProviding guidance and developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelinesSupporting, maintaining and diagnosing automation hardwareProviding technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departmentsReviewing current production operations and ensure continual improvementInteracting with and managing automation contractors and supporting project commissioning activitiesProviding design/approval of hardware, software, and controls for automated equipmentThe environment and physical rhythms of this role:Experience with controls networks and communications systems (Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus etc)Direct experience and in depth knowledge of Allen Bradley Rockwell automation platformDemonstrate leadership with the ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision from management and provide mentoring to other members of the automation group when requiredLet’s find out if we’re a fit:BS/BA in Science/Engineering discipline and 8 years’ experience working with validated Automation systems in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentThrive today.
