Sound like a mission you can get behind?The Principal Business Analyst will own analytics, modeling, reporting, and recommendations for our Portfolio Management programs. This role designs the strategies behind customer engagement and risk management, including upgrades and multicard,  that best serve our customers and our business.  The Impact You’ll Make in this Role: In your first year, you'll sharpen the underwriting behind our multicard offers, and turn rewards upgrades and purchase incentives into tested strategies that move real engagement numbers. Design or refine the underwriting and pricing behind our multicard, line-extending strategy Turn rewards upgrades and purchase incentives into tested strategies for re-engaging low-usage customers Partner with risk, data science, and engineering to bring your strategies to market As a Business Analyst, you will:  You have analytical experience with a line-extending strategy, like credit limit increases, multicard, or another underwriting-heavy product You get curious about a new AI tool and actually dig in, instead of waiting for someone to hand you a tutorial You can work through other people to get things done. This role has a broader mandate than pure analytics. You have the business judgment to notice when a model's answer doesn't match reality, and the instinct to ask why Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in a highly analytical role, ideally in credit, lending, or another line-extension strategy Proven ability to problem solve end to end: from framing a hypothesis, to analyzing the data, to defending a recommendation with stakeholders Familiarity with SQL and Python for data analysis; Tableau is a plus, not a requirement Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field with a strong academic record Preferred Qualifications Experience with credit cards or other consumer lending products, especially underwriting or portfolio management Experience building or maintaining risk models used to make account-level decisions at scale Experience with rewards, loyalty, or engagement programs Demonstrated expertise in SQL or Python Experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, etc.) At Mission Lane, we’re looking for people who have the courage to take on new challenges.
