Together we are building a community of members that embraces healthcare as a proactive part of their lifestyle.Job Summary The Optometrist focuses on delivering primary vision care as part of Crossover’s patient-centered medical home.Job ResponsibilitiesProvides primary vision careConducts eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and ocular diseasesMeasures patients visual perception, acuity, focus and coordination abilityAnalyzes test results and develops a treatment planUtilizes diagnostic procedures and eye drops to aid in the diagnosis of vision problems and prescribes pharmaceutics  to treat eye diseasesDiagnoses conditions caused by systemic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, referring patients to other health practitioners in Crossover’s practice as neededEnsures clinic areas and instrumentation meet quality compliance standardsManages communication with patients, other Crossover practitioners, and optical partners to support quality clinical careCommitted to patient satisfaction, providing excellent service and delivering an outstanding eye care experiencePerforms other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Minimum 3 years demonstrated success in patient-centered optometry practiceLicense to practice optometry in applicable stateGraduate of an accredited school of OptometryCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationPreferred QualificationsAbility to quickly learn new procedures and processesStrong organizational and follow-through skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Job RequirementsMay require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordinationIncludes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients.Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.The base pay range for this position is $68.86 to $90 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience.
