ABOUT YOU

You’re a product engineer who leans front-end but is comfortable diving across the stack. You thrive in startup environments, have strong technical chops (React / Next / Node / TypeScript required), and you want to build tools and experiences that empower others. You’re excited by experimentation, high-leverage product problems, and a company culture that celebrates creativity and developer-first thinking. We celebrate craft and nerd out about bringing obsessive attention to detail in our products.

THE ROLE

You will join our product engineering team working across our SDK and the web application, collaborating closely with product and design. Your work will impact both end-users of tldraw.com http://tldraw.com and enterprise customers building on our SDK.

Key responsibilities include:

- Build, maintain and scale core features of the tldraw web app and SDK (React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript)

- Collaborate with design, product and engineering to shape new experiences: ideate, prototype, ship and iterate

- Contribute to and maintain developer-facing documentation, code samples and SDK usage patterns (ensuring our SDK remains world-class)

- Monitor performance, reliability, and developer-gravity of our platform; proactively identify friction points and improve them

- Participate in an experimental culture: build viral demos, iterate fast, embrace creative tooling ideas

- Work across the stack when needed: focus on UI and interaction design but able to also help maintain backend services and APIs

YOU SHOULD HAVE

- Strong hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript

- Experience on high-agency teams where you’ve shipped meaningful features and helped shape the product

- Excellent problem-solving mindset. You can navigate ambiguous, high-leverage problems and drive them to completion

- Clear communication skills, and the ability to engage with product/design/engineer...
