Product Manager, Home Energy Experience.
dcbel Inc. (www.dcbel.energy) designs and sells residential products to make clean, efficient, and sustainable energy accessible to all — because everyone in the world deserves energy without compromise. dcbel is at the leading edge of the residential energy revolution. Its products enable decentralized energy consumption and production through its vertically integrated suite of energy hardware and software products, and their supporting infrastructure. Our flagship product, dcbel Ara, is a Home Energy Station that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and power their home, unlocking their EV’s battery for blackout protection, backup power (V2H) and grid services (V2G), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, stationary battery and the grid. The opportunity This role brings structure and clarity to system complexity. It ensures product intent is clearly defined, consistently applied, and ready to be built so teams can move with confidence and users experience a coherent system. It defines what gets built and how it is structured, translating direction into scenario-driven scope grounded in real-world behavior. At its core, this role shapes clear, buildable product decisions through learning loops powered by AI-assisted prototyping, build–learn cycles, and build-to-validate approaches. Ensure customers experience predictable, understandable, and trustworthy system behavior across all home energy interactions. Main responsibilities "Bring clarity to complexity. Structure what gets built." This role sits at the center of mobile and on-device product surfaces, where system behavior, user expectations, and technical constraints meet.It defines what the product should do, how it is structured across surfaces, and how different parts of the system work together including where functionality lives, how information is surfaced, and how system states and transitions are represented. Work is driven through co-creation with Design and Engineering using AI-assisted prototyping and build-learn cycles to shape and refine scenarios in real time. Rather than relying on static specifications, Product direction is refined through iterative learning, prototyping, validation, and scenario evolution, so direction is established through building, testing, and evolving scenarios until behavior is clear, consistent, and ready for delivery. Product defines what gets built and how it is structured, ensuring decisions are coherent across the system.
