Production Technician I (Night Shift)

As a Production Technician I, you’ll join a dynamic team committed to strengthening the world’s energy systems to make them more resilient, efficient, and reliable. Based at our global headquarters in Houston, TX, the Production Technician I at MetOx operates specialized equipment to manufacture, process, and package high-quality products in a clean, climate-controlled, high-tech environment. The Production Technician I uses advanced control systems to select recipes, monitor processes, and operate automated machines. Additionally, they develop skills to minimize equipment disruptions and provide insightful input to engineers for next-generation equipment design improvements. Night Shift hours are 4:00 pm to 4:00 am four days a week. Key Responsibilities: Production Operates specialized equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures under supervision Implements safe work practices and participates in a proactive safety culture to ensure the safety of employees, the public, and the environment Completes training requirements and obtains certifications for assigned equipment Conducts regular inspections of facility area and equipment Maintains clean and organized work areas by using 5S methodology Performs minor facility repairs and empties trash as needed Performs basic maintenance activities according to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules Works flexible hours and schedules to achieve manufacturing objectives Assists in receiving goods, including gas cylinders and dewar deliveries Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and technical course work 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment or mechanical support role Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in applied science or relevant field Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel) Ability to log actions in tool or process history Responsible, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks under stressful or hazardous condition Effective verbal and written communication with various stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced, less defined environment Efficient task completion Problem-solving skills for machinery adjustments Identifies minor process deviations and escalates the issues Required to serve on the Emergency Response Team Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, reaching with arms, using hands, talking, and hearin...
