DESCRIPTION

The application development team within the Maine Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a self-motivated learner to fill the role of Programmer Analyst. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with the team that supports the Maine Department of Labor (DOL), with opportunities to expand into other areas supported by OIT. They will be someone who stays current with technologies, and who will seek opportunities to innovate. Work is performed under limited supervision.

Maine DOL is dedicated to serving the citizens of Maine with all labor related activities. The individual selected for this position will provide application development and operational support to the DOL Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS), with opportunities to participate in other projects within DOL. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will perform technical services involving the development and maintenance of highly complex computer programs and installation of software packages. Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, installing, and maintaining complex application programs; devising and modifying programs to resolve complex system or coding problems; and reading detailed specifications from which programs may be written.
