Join our Service Hub in Cape Town and lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects for customers across Africa. You'll work directly with vessel owners, suppliers and technical specialists, taking ownership from kick-off to delivery.About usAt Damen, we do more than build ships. Through Damen Services, we support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their vessels with repairs, maintenance, upgrades and technical support around the world. As part of our South Africa Hub in Cape Town, you'll help customers keep their operations running safely, efficiently and reliably.The roleAs Project Manager Services, you'll lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects across Africa from our Cape Town Service Hub. With project values ranging from €50,000 to €4.5 million.The majority of your projects will be executed in South Africa, with occasional opportunities to support customers and projects across other parts of Africa.You'll work directly with vessel owners, suppliers and technical specialists, taking ownership from kick-off to successful delivery in a fast-paced ship repair environment.Your impactLead repair, modification and technical support projects from start to finish.Coordinate engineering, procurement, logistics and delivery activities.Manage budgets, planning, risks and project performance.Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.Identify variation orders and commercial opportunities.Support project execution on-site when required within Africa.Skills & ExperienceWe're looking for a proactive Project Manager Services who brings:A Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial field;Several years of experience in a maritime services environment;At least 5 years of project management experience within ship repair;Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.You areA pragmatic and persuasive leader who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment;Collaborative by nature, while confident in working independently and taking ownership;Decisive, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting;Skilled at stakeholder management, building trusted relationships and aligning diverse interests;An effective communicator who can influence, challenge and manage expectations at all levels;Results-driven, proactive and able to turn plans into successful outcomes through strong leadership and initiative;Resilient, patient and solution-oriented when navigating challenges and change;Passionate about ship repair and committed to delivering outstanding service to customers;Already living in South Africa, preferably in Cape Town.Why Damen?What we’re made of.
