Schedule Thursday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (On-Site) Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric evaluation, assessment, medication management, care coordination, and ongoing treatment services for individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams and healthcare providers to support high-quality, person-centered care in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and professional practice standards. Depending on program needs and credentials, the Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychotropic medication management, and behavioral health treatment support services. Key Responsibilities Complete psychiatric evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and clinical documentation as required. Provide medication management services, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications in accordance with scope of practice. Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Review laboratory results, monitor blood levels, review physician orders, and support ongoing medication management needs. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, specialists, therapists, pharmacies, and other treatment providers. Support discharge planning, medication coordination, and continuity-of-care efforts. Collaborate with clinical and nursing teams regarding treatment planning and medication-related needs. Provide education and clinical support to staff regarding psychiatric, behavioral health, and medication-related concerns.
