About the Role
Dandy is hiring a R&D Technician II to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company, supporting our metal partials manufacturing line. In this role, you'll handle hands-on production work — from metal post-processing through assembly, quality checks, and packing — in a fast-paced, scaling dental manufacturing environment. Dental or dental lab experience is ideal but not required; what matters most is being a self-starter who's comfortable on a computer and keeping accurate, organized records as you go.
This role sits within R&D, where the nature of the work is fast-paced and constantly evolving — processes, equipment, and priorities can shift with little notice as we develop and scale new manufacturing lines. We're looking for someone who's energized by that environment: comfortable adapting to change, flexible when things are still being figured out, and able to stay effective amid ambiguity.
What You'll Do
- Perform metal post-processing on printed frameworks: support removal, tumbling, and finishing to meet spec
- Work at the marrying station to join components, then support assembly, quality checks, and packing
- Track case-level status and inventory using spreadsheets and internal portal tools — accurate, up-to-date records are core to the role
- Inspect finished components against quality standards and flag issues before they move downstream
