Join a company driven by quality products across an evolving range of industries.Employer: Gentex Corporation Job Title: Requirements Engineer IIDegree Required: Master’s degree or equivalent foreign educationAcademic Discipline(s): Computer EngineeringExperience Required: NoneJob Description:Translate user, regulatory, and technical inputs into clear, actionable engineering requirements that guide the design and development of complex systems and products.Conduct analysis of software issues by identifying functional problems, reporting defects using a bug tracking system, monitoring resolution efforts, and ensuring successful remediation.Contribute to the software development cycle through active participation in product design reviews, and evaluation of software documentation to ensure technical accuracy.Execute Gentex’s requirements engineering processes to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness of system and product requirements.Collect, analyze, and refine requirements from external sources, such as regulatory standards and customer specifications.Collect, analyze, and refine requirements from internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, product validation labs, and manufacturing groups, to identify design and performance needs.Translate external and internal inputs into actionable requirements that can be effectively implemented.Review requirements developed by other engineers to ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.Provide technical input to cross-functional teams and actively participate in project reviews.Communicate work status and updates to both the requirements engineering team and the broader project team.Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned in support of the product development process. Minimum Qualifications: Completed coursework must include:Wireless communications and network security principles, including confidentiality, key establishment, authentication, and secure data transmission in cloud-enable environments;Security of cyber-physical or embedded systems, including vulnerability assessment, impact analysis, and mitigation techniques; andWireless networking architecture and short-range wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth), as required to support secure communication between embedded sensing systems.Work Location: 600 N. Centennial Street, Zeeland, MI 49464Hours of work: Usually 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through FridayTravel: Various locations throughout the U.S. 10% of the time.
