Safety & Security Lead
THE ROLE
This leadership role is responsible for Adhering and training security to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, clients, and the facility while delivering a best-in-class guest experience.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational planning, emergency response coordination, and event security management experience within a public assembly venue, convention center, arena, stadium, or similar live entertainment environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to
- Supervises and assigns security shift staff.
- Conducts shift briefings with staff providing necessary information.
- Reviews department checklist and accounts for all equipment.
- Print and review Event resumes with team.
- Notifies supervisor of necessary employee corrections.
- Secures property.
- Locks and unlocks facility doors as needed for events and staff
- Conducts routine property walks.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Handles Incident reports & Property damage reports
- Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees.
- Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises.
- Appropriately deals with "unruly" people.
- Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response.
- Ensures security camera systems are properly functioning, i.e., recording and storing data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Education and/or Experience
- Must possess current working knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of public facility security and safety programs; crowd management and control techniques; principles of municipal budget preparation and control; pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations
- Five (5) years of an increasingly responsible leadership role in the development and management of a security operation in a public facility, convention center or arena
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field preferred, and three years related experience and/or training or the equivalent combination and experience with developing and leading a security operation in a major venue
