This position is part of the U.S. Accounting Shared Serviced Center (SSC). The SSC is responsible for centralizing and executing accounting processes, governance and controls and delivering organizational efficiencies via centralization of common accounting processes for Corporate Admin teams. This position is responsible for finance support of the CADM team, which includes support of Abbvie Benefits, HR, Treasury, CFO, and Controllers Group, among others.   The role includes general journal entry processing and reconciliation.  This position reviews data sources for accuracy and completeness, collaborates with business functions to ensure complete and accurate transactions are recorded in compliance with AbbVie policies and U.S. GAAP. The Sr Accountant works under direct guidance of the Accounting Manager on the SSC team. Responsibilities:Prepare and process journal entries for the Corporate Admin groups. Ensure all journal entries are audit worthy. Prepare BlackLine reconciliations for entity accounts. Work with BPO to ensure compliance with new IPE SOX standards. Prepare balance sheet commentary on a quarterly basis Build efficiencies in existing processes  Prepare various reporting deliverables throughout the year to business partners Work with Corporate Admin groups to consolidate and streamline non-value added work under the RTR FSS team umbrella.  Finance or Accounting Bachelor's  and a solid understanding of accounting transactions, journal entry and account reconciliation fundamentals Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently Strong time management skills and able to manage tasks simultaneously  Must be proficient in Excel.  Knowledge of SAP and Blackline a plus    Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: ​The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this post...
