Find your future at Revvity Overview:We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at our headquarters in Waltham, MA. This is hybrid opportunity (Tuesday - Thursday). In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations — ensuring precision in day-to-day accounting and driving a seamless monthly close process. You'll collaborate closely with external accounting partners and internal stakeholders across accounting, finance, and operations to maintain the financial integrity that supports our mission.What makes this role exciting:Revenue Recognition Expertise: Apply your knowledge of ASC 606 to complex revenue scenarios in a fast-paced life sciences environmentStrategic Impact: Lead the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, helping shape our growth storyPublic Company Experience: Contribute to SOX control testing and compliance in our publicly traded organizationCross-Functional Partnership: Work alongside diverse teams to prepare and review critical reconciliations and reportingYour Superpowers in Action:Overseeing the day-to-day accounting activity performed by 3rd party overseas external consultant team for multiple legal entities globally for accounts such as A/R, unbilled, A/P, prepaid, employee accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, deferred revenue, leases, commissions.Coordinate monthly general ledger close: validate completeness of journal entry posting, review preliminary financial statements, prepare and record adjusting entries as necessary, preparation or review of account reconciliations.Oversee A/R team and assist with collection.Support the revenue close process which includes reviewing and documenting complex, multiple element arrangements to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606.Collaborate cross-functionally with all business units (Operations team, FP&A, Corporate consolidation, Tax etc.): resolving open questions in a timely manner, ad-hoc projects, and process improvements.Perform monthly/quarterly SOX control testing.Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger and revenue reports for management review as needed.Assist in calculation and reporting of Royalties.Assist in integration of newly acquired businesses including process and system changes.Assist in special projects as needed.Basic qualifications:Bachelor’s degree AND 5+ years of experience in accounting, general ledger accounting fundamentals, reconciliation processes, and month-end close a...
