At ING Hubs Spain we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer CassandraYour role and work environment:In the Global Cloud Tribe, in the Data Services area a position is available for a Senior DevOps Engineer Cassandra.The teamThe purpose of the Global Cloud Tribe is to build and run the target infrastructure platform in a (private) cloud delivery model. This delivery model is based on multi-tenant, self-service, pay-per-use capabilities for application DevOps teams as defined in ING’s ‘One Way of Working’. The Global Cloud Tribe comprises five Global Areas:Infrastructure as a ServiceData Services Integration AreaCloud API ManagementContainer AreaThe data Services Area provides Keyspace as a Service (KaaS) running on noSQL Cassandra. We do operate multitenant and dedicated Cassandra clusters. KaaS is provided as a complete journey, our centre of expertise provides continued support and advice to teams using Cassandra. The data Services Area strives to be ahead of the game by keeping a close eye on all the metrics and logs to detect possible interruptions before they happen. Tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus are essential in our strive to provide a performant and resilient platform to our consumers.Your key responsibilities:With your pragmatic and delivery-oriented professional attitude, you put your background and experience to good use as an experienced engineer for the platform. Together with the squad, the Product Manager and the architect, you design, build, test and maintain the KaaS related offerings in ING’s private cloud.In addition, you use your automation experience and knowledge to propose solutions for modernizing and monitoring, to ensure robust and future proof operations and installations of our service.As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will:Take ownership of Cassandra Keyspace as a Service that the squad provides to tenantsCreate and maintain code stored in Azure DevOps Repositories, distribute using the tools and pipelinesBe familiar with Agile / Scrum way of workBe a strong team player and cooperate with global ING teamsDevelop a view on improving the deployment and operational methods for our platform/serviceTake part in our 24/7 standby schedule (once up to speed)On a regular basis take the Ops-person-of-the-day taskExecute scheduled tasks that need to be executed to keep the risk score of the team’s services as low as possibleWhat are we looking for?Want to know if this job is made for you?
