ROLE OVERVIEW Fashion Nova is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will help us understand our business and support our growth plans. You will play a significant role in the monthly and quarterly planning and reporting processes while building partnership with various teams across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the VP of FP&A with updating OpEx templated and departmental KPI scorecards for the month end close process and financial reporting Partner with Accounting to review month end close details, and ensure that operating expense accruals are properly book by department and GL classification Research and provide explanations on any budget versus actual variances in operating expense details Collaborate with department owners to help understand vendor costs, and ensure that billed invoices are accurate Contribute to the updating of sales, margin, and inventory receipt projections from Planning and cross functional teams Monitor requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoices across the OpEx approval chain to ensure that the departmental spend is aligned with budget and forecast expectations Prepare and quantify financial cost projections for new vendors and technology platforms with department owners, and ensure that the projections are captured in the financial model Formulate ad-hoc analytics by utilizing different data sources as needed for department owners and the Finance department Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement Validate and reconcile invoices from external service vendors ROLE REQUIREMENTS 5-7 + years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to su...
