We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer
Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the frontend architecture of mission critical financial platforms, driving technical excellence.
You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, combined with strong engineering judgment, a passion for high quality user experiences, and a solid understanding of enterprise scale systems in regulated environments.
In addition to enhancing our core platform, the team is building a strategic new channel that brings investment capabilities directly to the bank's external clients through seamless integration with the e-banking platform. Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, scalability, and operational model of this highly visible initiative from an early stage.
YOUR CHALLENGE
•
Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability
•
Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
•
Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
•
Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems
•
Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where required
•
Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments
•
Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment
YOUR PROFILE
•
Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale
•
Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
•
Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries
•
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
•
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
•
Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
•
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Exposure to API security, OAuth2, and related standards Experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus
•
Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
•
Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence technical direction
•
Proven ability to thrive in agile, cross‑functional teams
