Specialising in clean energy, green infrastructure and sustainable real estate, we are providing tailored fund vehicles and investment solutions with a focus on sustainability and aim to become one of the leading asset managers for sustainable investment strategies in Europe with a global reach.For our office in Madrid, we are looking for a(Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d)Your ResponsibilitiesIndependently advise Aquila Capital on all legal matters relating to general commercial and contract law, with a focus on projects in the areas of renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro), real estate, and infrastructureProvide legal support in the restructuring and sale of projects within the above-mentioned asset classesIndependently draft, review, and negotiate national and international agreements and documentation, in particular:Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs)EPC contractsOperation and maintenance (O&M) agreementsProcurement and other service agreementsLease agreementsEnforce and defend warranty, damages, and other claimsSupport out-of-court negotiations as well as national and international litigation and arbitration proceedingsAdvise and train specialists and senior management across departments on legal matters, particularly regarding current developments in renewable energy law and restructuringAct as an interface between internal departments and external advisors, including the management of external counselYour ProfileFully qualified Spanish lawyer or a comparable European qualificationAt least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a commercially or transaction-focused law firmStrong expertise in the areas outlined above (comprehensive knowledge of all areas is not required)Fluent Spanish and English skills (additional language skills are an advantage)Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand complex business mattersStructured, results-oriented, and independent working styleCommitted and resilient personality with strong communication skills and enthusiasm for a steep learning curveConfident and professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
