IonQ is making quantum platforms more accessible and impactful than ever before.  Location: This role is based at our Louisville, CO office with the option to work a few days a week remotely. Travel: Up to 5%Job ID: 1570 The Role Capella is looking for an energetic Senior Electrical Engineer Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing a team of electrical engineers who design, develop, and test electrical systems and components. This role involves supporting project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation of our electrical systems within our satellite. This role will sit within the Spacecraft Engineering team at Capella Space. This team contains a variety of engineering disciplines that design and develop the satellite and payload systems. Responsibilities Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback of a distributed team across two offices. Assign people to tasks and manage workloads to ensure timely project completion. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Project Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for our application. Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines. Support systems engineering requirements. Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical design, integration, and troubleshooting. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement in electrical engineering practices and processes. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
