What's exciting about the role The Senior Manager, Payments & Regulatory Compliance is responsible for establishing and maintaining Verifone's payments compliance framework within the New Zealand payments ecosystem. The role ensures that Verifone meets its compliance obligations across card scheme operations, issuer and acquirer processing relationships, and applicable New Zealand regulatory and industry frameworks. The role oversees compliance across major card schemes, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay, ensuring that regulatory obligations are effectively governed following Verifone's direct-to-scheme transaction routing implementation. It serves as Verifone's primary liaison with key New Zealand stakeholders, including Payments NZ, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Commerce Commission, and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). The position also supports compliance across issuing and acquiring operations, Open Banking initiatives, digital identity frameworks, and financial institution security assurance programs. Roles and Responsibilities New Zealand Payments Ecosystem Compliance  Maintain oversight of compliance obligations across the New Zealand payments ecosystem, monitor regulatory developments, ensure alignment with evolving regulatory expectations, provide internal guidance on payments regulations and industry standards, and support strategic compliance initiatives impacting the NZ market.
