As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Badger Meter, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations. You'll lead complex engineering initiatives, drive automation and process improvements, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are designed and launched with manufacturing excellence in mind.In this highly visible role, you'll serve as a technical leader across new product development and manufacturing operations, influencing product design, advancing automation strategies, and delivering improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. You'll also mentor fellow engineers, lead strategic projects, and help define the future of our manufacturing capabilities.What You'll DoLead manufacturing engineering efforts for new product development projects, from concept through production launch.Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, assembly, and automation.Develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.Drive Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Automated Assembly reviews.Lead automation initiatives, including equipment selection, vendor management, validation, and production implementation.Provide technical leadership for complex manufacturing challenges, conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective actions.Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and business objectives are achieved.Identify and lead continuous improvement, capacity expansion, and cost-reduction initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma method...
