This person will be a key contributor to the Engineering Services organization and support all the mechanical development within it. This position is for an individual contributor who can work as a team player as part of a much larger cross functional teamYou will report to TEAM LEADER, MECHANICAL DESIGN working in Hybrid Mode, Bangalore location.Your Responsibilities:Perform new design or modify existing designs in Creo based on electromechanical principles.Involve in concept generation and prototyping of ideas for new product design.Understanding of electronic packaging principles and manage all interactions with the hardware team, compliance team, supplierProvide complete and detailed CAD models required of all parts and assemblies to produce the finished productPerform structural and thermal analysis at component level and Module level using ANSYS Workbench.Engage with external test labs for product certification and qualification related Mechanical testing.Experience with design and common manufacturing processes applicable for plastic and metal partsGD&T/ASME Y14.5, tolerance stack-up , design verification and analysis methods, DFM/ADrive design decisions and is comfortable working as the sole mechanical contributor as part of a much larger engineering team.Comfortable working with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems, preferably SAPIdentify and implement process improvement opportunitiesMentor and trains junior engineers.The Essentials - You Will Have:B.E. in Mechanical Engineering4+ years of experience plastic and metal components and assemblies & electronic packagingStrong oral and written communication skills in English and good presentation skills required.Min. 5years of Creo/ ANSYS Workbench/SAP experienceThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:B.E. in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on designDemonstrated understanding of industrial control & Automation productsProduct testing/verification as per relevant industry standards applicable for electronic packaging for component/product/system levelWhat We...
