This role oversees the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring designs are innovative, functional, and meet customer and business needs. Key responsibilities include generating product requirements, designing and developing products, conducting prototype testing, providing product integration and testing support, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and leading technical projects. The successful person in this role will use expertise to solve complex technical challenges, improve product performance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product's life. The Senior Product Engineer position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule; a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design, development, and testing of new products, iterating the development with design engineers (EE, mechanical, and software) as well as product managers. Component selection, schematic capture, and PCB design of electrical systems based on an FPGA SoC with associated memory devices, transceivers, communication peripherals, and power management circuitry. Define PCB stack up, materials, and design rules to meet performance requirements and manufacturing feasibility. Perform hardware bring-up, test, and root cause analysis on the bench, using common lab equipment.
