POS-11465 HubSpot CRM is the foundation of how hundreds of thousands of businesses manage their customers, pipelines, and growth. Underneath every contact, deal, ticket, and activity is a shared data model that defines how records are created, related, and organized across the platform. The Data Platform organization owns that foundation — and how it evolves will determine whether HubSpot's data layer can power the next generation of AI and agentic experiences. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager I to own one of the most essential surfaces in that foundation: how records are created whether by humans or by AI and how they relate to one another. These relationships are the foundation of the agentic data platform and the future of the CRM. This role covers the full surface of associations — relationship definitions, activity-to-record behavior, association labels and limits, and the record creator used across all object and activity creation in HubSpot. This is a high-leverage, cross-platform role that will marry our agentic data model platform vision with high-quality, human-in-the-loop data modeling.. The decisions you make here affect every HubSpot product team, every customer managing relational data, and every AI feature that depends on accurate, trustworthy associations to function. You'll need strong CRM data modeling instincts, a deep respect for platform complexity, and the ability to drive alignment across a wide set of stakeholders — engineers, GMs, and product teams building on top of what you own. In this role you'll get to: Own the end-to-end roadmap for associations as a platform capability: relationship definitions, activity-to-record behavior, association labels, limits, workflows, and the record creator across all object and activity types Lead the near-term company priority to generate associations from unstructured data in support of Smart Deal Progression, a feature that is dependent on accurate, complete meeting, call, and email associations to deals Validate and drive the path for lookup properties as a resolution to long-standing usability gaps in how customers view and manage relational data Close data dead ends through foundational data fixes, including expanding association coverage between object types Define the longer-term associations platform vision: reusable components, richer relationship modeling,  "Define and iterate on the associative context between objects and activities in HubSpot's data model that makes AI reliable and trustworthy across HubSpot, working with agent teams internally to drive results" Engage directly with customers — from SMBs managing simple contact records to enterprise teams running multi-object data architectures — to deeply understand where relational data breaks down Drive alignment with PMs, engineers, and architects across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and AI Agents to ensure associations evolve in a backward-compatible, forward-looking way Represent the associa...
