Job TitleSenior Product Manager, Privacy & TrustJob DescriptionAbout The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements  We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take charge of our data privacy and platform strategy. You will be the point person for balancing our business needs, like audience growth and personalization, with the reality of global privacy regulations. This role is a mix of high-level roadmap planning and deep-in-the-weeds technical problem solving, specifically regarding our Data Subject Request (DSR) platform. Hybrid 3x a week- (New York, NY) In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. About The Team: At People Inc., we treat reader trust as our most valuable asset. This team solves hard, "real-world" technical problems that have a tangible impact. About The Positions Contributions: Weight % | Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results20% | Own the DSR PlatformOur current DSR process needs work. You will lead the roadmap to evolve this from a compliance checkbox into a scalable, automated system that handles access, deletion, and portability requests across all our data silos.20% | Balance Privacy & ProductYou’ll define how we manage data and identity. The goal is to stay fully compliant (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) without sacrificing the user experience or our ability to deliver relevant content.20% | Build the FoundationPartner with engineering to modernize our data architecture. You need to understand our data lineage, governance, and security well enough to guide architectural decisions across different business units.20% | Make Privacy User-FriendlyStop treating privacy as a legal chore. You will design transparent, user-centric flows that actually help our readers understand their data, which in turn builds long-term brand trust.20% | Cross-Functional StrategyYou’ll be the bridge between Legal, AdTech, and Engineering. You need to be able to explain the technical risk to legal, and the regulatory requirements to our engineering leads.The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree is preferred and/or equivalent experience. Experience:5+ years in product management owning backend platforms. A candidate who has worked in data-heavy environments or managed compliance-related products or identity systems is required.  Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:DSR Platform Expertise: Experience developing or expanding DSR systems.
