In this pivotal role, you will report to the Senior Director of R&D Electronic Warfare and lead the definition and development of next-generation Networked Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The successful individual in this role will bridge the gap between complex RF hardware, advanced signal processing software, and distributed networking architectures. You will work within a multi-disciplinary R&D team to architect systems that not only detect and counter threats but coordinate these effects across a mesh of intelligent nodes. This position requires a rigorous systems engineering approach to capture designs, manage requirements, and ensure mission success in contested RF environments. This position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule; a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES System Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural definition of networked EW systems, decomposing high-level mission requirements into detailed hardware, software, and firmware specifications. Requirements Management: Utilize modern requirements management tools to capture, trace, and maintain system requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring full coverage from customer needs to validation testing. Technical Documentation: Author and maintain critical engineering artifacts, including System Design Descriptions (SDD), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), ConOps, and Test Plans.
