Senior Software Engineer - Java 25, Spring Boot

We’re looking for a Software Engineer Senior to join our ever-evolving Alternative Payment Methods delivery team and help us unleash the potential of every business.What you’ll ownDesign, implement, test, deploy, and run scalable, highly available microservices for APM.Lead and contribute to system design: define service boundaries, data models, APIs, SLAs/SLOs, and integration patterns.Accelerate time-to-market by simplifying architectures, reducing toil, and maximizing automation across CI/CD, testing, infrastructure, and operations.Prototype and validate new approaches and integrations; productionize successful experiments.Participate in the production support rota (on-call), ensuring robust observability, incident response, and post-incident reviews.Instrument services and build tooling to enable data-driven decisions.Contribute to architecture, design reviews, performance, security, and reliability work.Collaborate across teams on technology choices, patterns, and shared components to avoid duplication and speed delivery.Coach and review work of less experienced engineers.What you'll bringStrong experience building and operating large-scale cloud microservicesProficiency with Java, Spring Boot, DockerSolid TDD and automated testing practice; quality-first, test-first mindsetStrong system design skills for distributed systems (fault tolerance, partitioning, consistency models, idempotency, retries/backoff, timeouts, circuit breakers)Track record of improving developer productivity and release velocity (e.g., CI/CD optimizations, tooling, automation)Comfortable with Agile delivery and continuous improvementFluent in English (written and verbal)It’s a bonus if you haveKubernetes, AWS, OpenShiftKafka or other messaging systemsPayments domain experience (cards, APMs, scheme integrations)PCI-DSS exposureAbout the teamOur inclusive and global teams win together every day.
