The role of the Underwriter is to market, underwrite and produce profitable monoline Fine Art inland marine coverage on a national basis in accordance with Company objectives and policies. This is a salaried position and not commissioned sales.This position is based in our New York City office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications, we may also consider individuals located outside the New York City area for a hybrid or fully remote position depending on the precise location.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:Has responsibility for low complexity risk selection/rejection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability within scope of authority and per divisional objectives.Uses independent judgment and initiative to support business goals.Maintains a high level of customer service.Receives and analyzes submissions and determines terms to offer (policy limits, deductibles, coverage options and conditions, etc.).Prices business in accordance with company guidelines.Assesses risk quality and compliance within company guidelines.Orders and analyzes miscellaneous business reports needed in the rating and underwriting processes, including applications, location details, credit checks, ...
