What you’ll do
- Team Leadership: Manage the entire maintenance team, overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient planning, repairs, and maintenance activities. Success means a well-coordinated team delivering high-quality maintenance with minimal downtime.
- Maintenance Management: Lead preventive maintenance programs, manage equipment schedules, and ensure critical spares availability to maintain operational excellence. Daily tasks include monitoring maintenance workflows and troubleshooting issues.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHACT, SANS 10142, and company safety standards. Travel may be required occasionally to support other site operations or training.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs, maintain safe working conditions, and provide operational support including overtime when necessary.

What you’ll bring
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
- National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent
- Relevant trade certificate is advantageous/required
- 3-5 years relevant foundry experience or manufacturing environment
- Supervisory and management experience is required
- Knowledge of Preventative & Predictive maintenance principles
- Sound SHE knowledge and experience
- Computer literacy & experience with maintenance management systems are advantageous
- HT (High Tension) Electrical knowledge, training & experience advantageous
