About The Role:Lead the day-to-day operation of your shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of customer orders. Drive operational performance through strong leadership, accountability, continuous improvement, and the development of engaged, high-performing teams. What You Will Be Doing: Operational Leadership Lead shift operations to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and service targets. Execute production plans while ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards. Monitor performance, resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer outcomes. People Leadership Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Production Operatives to build capability and succession. Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, provide regular feedback, and manage performance. Promote accountability, engagement, recognition, inclusion, and colleague wellbeing. Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee relations in partnership with HR. Ownership & Decision Making Take ownership of shift performance and operational challenges. Make timely, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Lead by example with a hands-on approach and empower teams to solve problems and improve processes. Health, Safety & Quality Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, food safety, and quality standards. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations, implementing effective corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workplace. Continuous Improvement Apply Lean and continuous improvement principles to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Use performance data to identify opportunities and support implementation of new processes and initiatives. Who You Are: Essential Experienced people leader in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, fulfilment, logistics, or FMCG environment. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills. Results-driven, with experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance. Solid understanding of health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles. Advantageous: Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG. Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma. Relevant Food Safety or Health & Safety qualifications.
