Position Overview Exciting career opportunity to join the AutoCAD Engineering team in Autodesk Singapore Research & Development Centre, contributing to the quality and reliability of next-generation AutoCAD family products. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work closely with product owners, software engineers, architects, UX teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, leveraging modern AI-powered development and testing workflows to ensure product quality. You will apply software engineering principles, automation, and AI-assisted quality engineering techniques to validate functionality, API compatibility, stability, performance, and customer workflows across AutoCAD family products.As a quality advocate, you will help improve engineering efficiency and product quality through automation, intelligent testing practices, and continuous innovation.Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleDesign test strategies, create test plans, and execute manual and automated tests to validate new features and product workflowsDesign, develop, and maintain automated tests for unit, functional, API, integration, and end-to-end validationBuild and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and testing infrastructureEstimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate software testing tasks. Execute test plans to validate the quality of product featuresUse AI tools to generate and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scriptsReview and validate AI-generated code, tests, and specifications for quality and correctnessParticipate in SDD, TDD, and AI-assisted software development workflowsPerform API, performance, interoperability, and code coverage testingInvestigate defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate on issue resolutionContinuously improve engineering productivity, testing practices, and product qualityJoin Beta programs, QA driven customer events, including mass testing efforts such as test festsResearch in software testing types, methods and emerging technologies and toolsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree (in Computer Science or other engineering discipline.) with excellent academic background or work experience0 – 2 years of experience in software development, software testing, quality engineering, or related areasStrong programming and problem-solving skillsExperience with one or more of C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languagesExperience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar coding assistantsBasic understanding of software quality assurance principles, software testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle practicesFamiliarity with automated testing concepts and test automation frameworksUnderstanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithmsPreferred Qu...
